Kecamatan Jempang menjadi Kecamatan ke-5 yang menerima bantuan sosial (Bansos) berupa beras dari tokoh muda Kutai Barat (Kubar), Frederick Edwin. Bansos yang diberikan sebagai wujud kepedulian bagi sesama.
Sebanyak 5 ton beras disalurkan untuk warga di 12 Kampung yang ada di Kecamatan Jempang.
“Saya tergerak untuk membantu sesuai dengan kemampuan saya, Walaupun tiidak seberapa, tapi paling tidak bisa sedikit membantu mengurangi beban ekonomi,” ungkap Edwin, saat menyerahkan bantuan secara simbolis di Kampung Tanjung Isuy, Sabtu 15 April 2023.
Ia juga berharap, ke depan dirinya bisa berbuat banyak untuk kembali membantu warga kurang mampu, disabilitas, orang sakit, lanjut usia dan sebagainya.
Koordinator penyaluran Bansos wilayah Kecamatan Jempang Irmansyah Ali mengaku berterima kasih, atas bantuan yang disampaikan Edwin. “Kami berterima kasih dan bersyukur bahwa beliau sudah membantu kami masyarakat pada umumnya sangat membutuhkan, ” ungkap Irmansyah Ali.
Ia menyampaikan diperlukan sekitar satu bulan lebih ia bersama tim mendata penerima bansos di Kecamatan Jempang.
Beberapa warga yang terdaftar sebagai penerima bantuan, mengaku senang dan bersyukur serta menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Frederick Edwin yang telah berikan bantuan beras.(ADV)
