Bupati Kutai Barat Frederick Edwin tinjau langsung dengan menggunakan perahu karet ke beberapa titik lokasi banjir yang ada di kecamatan Muara Lawa, Kamis ( 17/4/2025)
Banjir yang terjadi akibat intensitas curah hujan cukup tinggi beberapa hari terakhir menyebabkan sungai Kedang Pahu meluap sehingga menggenangi sejumlah kampung yang ada di kecamatan Muara Lawa dan Damai.
Bupati Kutai Barat menyampaikan rasa keprihatinan atas bencana yang melanda sejumlah wilayah di Kutai Barat.
“Kita pantau terus kondisi banjir, jika memang terus naik maka kita akan naikkan status menjadi tanggal darurat dari siaga darurat, ” ungkap Bupati Edwin.
Bupati juga mengajak masyarakat selalu waspada turut memantau kondisi air, untuk memudahkan evakuasi jika ketinggian air kembali naik.
Pada kesempatan ini Bupati Kubar juga memberikan bantuan kepada korban banjir yang diterima secara simbolis korban banjir di Posko banjir yang berada di Makoramil Muara Lawa.
Di kecamatan Muara Lawa 8 kampung terdampak banjir dengan ratusan rumah dan kepala keluarga terdampak langsung.Saat ini sudah dibangun posko salah satunya posko kesehatan untuk membantu korban banjir.
