Ratusan warga memadati Bandara Melalan, Kutai Barat sambut kedatangan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Kabupaten Kutai Barat, Frederick Edwin dan Nanang Adriani( FENA),ini merupakan kali pertama sejak FENA dilantik oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia ( RI) Prabowo Subianto di Istana Negara kemudian ikuti retret kepemimpinan di Akademi Militer di Magelang.
Tepat pukul 13.50 Wita Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Kutai Barat mendarat di Bandar Udara( Bandara) Melalan, menggunakan maskapai penerbangan Wings Air yang layani penerbangan di Bandara Melalan Kutai Barat
Antusiasme sambutan yang meriah diberikan nampak dari barisan berjejer rapi unsur Pimpinan Daerah, forkopimda sejumlah camat beserta Petinggi Kampung,di iringi dengan tarian khas Dayak Tunjung Benuaq dan iringan ritual adat penyambutan dan tepung tawar menyambut
Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Kubar.
Setelah prosesi acara tepung tawar di Bandara Melalan rombongan Bupati Kutai Barat bergeser menuju Rumah Harapan Keluarga ( RHK) yang merupakan kediaman Bupati Kutai Barat, Frederick Edwin untuk acara penyambutan adat tepung tawar di RHK.
Selesai acara di RHK rombongan kemudian bergeser ke Kantor Bupati Kutai Barat, dan untuk pertama kalinya Bupati Kutai Barat Frederick Edwin sambangi kantor dan ruang kerjanya.
Acara kemudian berlanjut dengan acara doa bersama sejumlah Rohaniawan yang dipimpin oleh Pastor Gregorius Samsudin doa Katholik dan Pendeta Rusmanto doa Kristen.
Acara penyambutan ini digelar tidak hanya sebagai ceremonial belaka namun memiliki makna yang mendalam acara sebagai bentuk apresiasi masyarakat setelah pelantikan yang berlangsung di Jakarta serta retret kepemimpinan yang diadakan di Magelang.
Selain itu Doa bersama dan ritual adat ini diyakini sebagai doa dan harapan agar kepemimpinan Frederick Edwin dan Nanang Adriani membawa kebaikan serta kemajuan bagi daerah.Hal juga menjadi simbol persatuan dalam menyongsong masa depan Kutai Barat yang lebih.Hal ini sesuai slogan Dwi Tunggal pemimpin Kubar Sempekat Bersama Kita Pasti Bisa
