Melak, KanalBorneo.com – Program Edwin peduli banjir dengan dikomando Organisasi Masyarakat Taruna Gharda Mandiri ( TGM) dan Putri Ringgeng terus bergerak menyalurkan bantuan untuk korban banjir, jika pekan lalu menyasar warga terdampak banjir di Kecamatan Tering dan Long Iram. Kali ini untuk warga terdampak di Kecamatan Melak.
Bantuan Frederick Edwin disalurkan kepada korban terdampak banjir di Kecamatan Melak, tepat nya di Kelurahan Melak Ulu dan Melak Ilir hingga Kampung Muara Bunyut, Muara Benangaq dan Kampung Empakuq, pada Rabu 29 Mei 2024.
Ketua Umum DPP TGM, Alsiyus mengatakan ini merupakan lanjutan gerakan sosial yang di lakukan oleh bapak Frederick Edwin, melalui TGM dan Putri Ringeeng untuk membantu korban banjir di Kubar.
“Hari ini khusus di Kecamatan Melak,bantuan 5 kilogram tersebut, diserahkan melalui Ketua Rukun Tetangga (RT) setempat, untuk kemudian dibagikan kepada warga masing-masing,” jelas Alsiyus.
Lanjutnya, total bantuan yang diberikan oleh pak Frederick Edwin di Kecamatan melak ini kurang lebih 10,7 Ton beras.
Terpisah, Ketua Putri Ringeeng Kubar, Maria Christina Mozes menyampaikan terimakasih kepada segenap anggota, baik TGM maupun organisasi yang dipimpinnya karena sudah bersedia meluangkan waktu, terlibat langsung bersama Frederick Edwin dalam gerakan sosial tersebut.
“Semoga keikhlasan dan ketulusan teman-teman di TGM dan Putri Rigeeng dalam kegiatan ini, dapat menjadi berkat bagi mereka yang membutuhkan, serta segala harapan dan cita-cita kita bersama kelak bisa terwujud,” ucap Maria.
Selain itu, Ia juga berharap agar ke dua organisasi ini tetap solid dan selalu harmonis, terutama dalam gerakan sosial untuk terus membantu warga yang membutuhkan di Bumi Tanaa Purai Ngerimaan.
“Jangan pernah lelah untuk terus menebar kebaikan. Yakin dan percaya, apa yang kita tanam hari ini kelak akan kita tuai di kemudian hari,” tandas Maria Christina Mozes.
Bagi Frederick Edwin kegiatan sosial seperti ini bukan hal baru, sebab Frederick Edwin dikenal dengan sifat kedermawanan, tulus, suka membantu sesama yang mengalami kesulitan.
Penyaluran beras untuk korban banjir, untuk kelurahan Melak Ilir sebanyak 1.292 rumah, Melak Ulu 400 Rumah, Kampung Muara Benangaq 137 rumah, Kampung Muara Bunyut 165 rumah, dan Kampung Empakuq 150 rumah.
