Berdasarkan survey Charta Politika Indonesia untuk Elektabilitas Calon Bupati nama Frederick Edwin menjadi nama tertinggi pilihan responden sebagai Bupati Kutai Barat dengan persentase 35,0 persen, diurutan kedua ada nama politikus partai Golkar H.Ahmad Syaiful dengan 14, 5 persen, disusul Ketua DPC Partai Gerindra Kutai Barat, Ekti Imanuel dengan 10,8 persen dan diurutan ke empat ada nama mantan Asisten III Setkab Kubar, Sahadi dengan 8,8 persen sementara beberapa tokoh lainnya dibawah 5 persen dan yang belum menentukan pilihan 21,7 persen.
Sementara untuk elektabilitas Calon Wakil Bupati nama Nanang Adriani yang berpasangan dengan Calon Bupati Frederick Edwin, kokoh di urutan pertama pilihan responden dengan 40,0 persen, diurutan kedua ada Politisi PAN Kubar, Asrani dengan 10,8 persen, di urutan ketiga ada Benni Nurrahman dengan 6,3 persen, lalu diurutan keempat ada nama Politisi Partai Gerindra yang saat ini masih merupakan anggota DPRD Kubar, Yahya Marthan dengan 4,0 persen sedangkan nama- nama tokoh lainnya berada dibawah 4 persen kemudian 22, 0 persen responden belum menentukan pilihannya.
Lembaga survey juga merilis data survey tokoh yang paling disukai, Kembali calon Bupati Frederick Edwin yang dipilih responden dengan presentase paling tinggi yakni 40,8 persen, disusul wakil Ketua DPRD Kubar, H.Ahmad Syaiful, lalu Anggota DPRD Provinsi Kaltim Ekti Imanuel berada diurutan ketiga dengan 11,8 persen dan calon Bupati Sahadi menempati urutan 4 dengan 10,8 persen.Responden yang tidak memberikan jawaban 6,3 persen.
Sementara itu saat calon Bupati Frederick Edwin yang berpasangan dengan calon Wakil Bupati Nanang Adriani disimulasikan head to head dengan 3 pasangan calon Bupati dan Wakil Bupati lainnya.
