Kampung Linggang Purwodadi salah satu kampung yag berada di Kecamatan Linggang Bigung merayakan hari jadi yang ke 60 tahun.Usia 60 tahun bukanlah waktu yang singkat kampung Purwodadi yang sejak awal berdirinya seiring perjalanan waktu pernah beberapa kali berganti nama.

Petinggi Kampung Purwodadi, Suprianto dalam sambutannya menyampaikan rasa syukurnya, tepat pada tanggal 24 Juni 2024 kampung Linggang Purwodadi genap berusia 60 tahun.

“Kita peringati setiap tahun, selama masih dipercaya masyarakat sebagai Petinggi kita akan berusaha selalu melaksanakan kegiatan seperti ini,” ucapnya.

Ditambahkannya, Rangkaian acara masih dilanjutkan esok hari dengan kegiatan tasyakuran yang akan mengundang Bupati dan Dinas – dinas terkait.

“Pada ulang tahun yang lalu seyogyanya , Bapak Ismael Thomas turut hadir bersama kita dalam peringatan HUT Kampung,” lanjutnya.

Lanjutnya namun ulang tahun kali ini tidak bisa hadir karena sedang tidak berada di Kutai Barat, namun saat ini hadir perwakilan beliau melalui rombongan tim FENA yang hadir.

Sementara itu, ketua umum DPP TGM Alsiyus menyampaikan permohonan maaf dari mantan Bupati Kutai Barat Ismael Thomas dan Frederick Edwin yang tidak bisa menghadiri peringatan ulang tahun kampung Purwodadi.

“Beliau berdua sedang berada di luar daerah, namun kehadiran kami dan rombongan adalah wujud dukungan kami untuk kemajuan kampung purwodadi,” ungkap Alsiyus.

Ditambahkannya Frederick Edwin turut mendukung terselenggaranya kegiatan peringatan HUT Kampung Purwodadi dengan memberikan bantuan anggaran sebesar Rp.30 juta rupiah.

Untuk diketahui, sejarah singkat berdirinya kampung Linggag Purwodadi berawal pada tahun 1964 Kampung ini bernama Sukuan Bangunrejo, penduduknya berasal dari Jawa Tengah pada awalnya adalah sebagai Tim Sukarelawan pada zaman konfrontasi melawan Negara Malaysia yang diistilahkan dengan sebutan“ GANJANG MALAYSIA“ pada waktu itu didatangkan pertama pada Tanggal 24 Juni 1964 hanya kepala keluarga saja yang terdiri dari 125 kepala keluarga.

Pada tahun 1974 atas ide dari warga Kampung sendiri yang awalnya bernama Kampung Bangunrejo, Bangun artinya Bangkit dan Rejo artinya Ramai. Jadi pada waktu itu Kampung Bangunrejo artinya bangkit menuju keramaian, yang akhirnya kampung tersebut berubah namanya menjadi Kampung Purwodadi dengan pengertian Purwo artinya Hutan dan Dadi artinya Jadi. Akhirnya sampai dengan sekarang terkenal dengan nama Kampung “PURWODADI“ yang artinya dulu sebuah Hutan sekarang menjadi kampung yang ramai.#
